Love both film and mountain biking? The US National Whitewater Center has the event for you.
On Friday evening, Aug. 21, 2015, USNWC will screen unReal on its big outdoor screen. The film begins at 8 p.m. allowing plenty of time for get in some personal twilight laps on the center's miles of trails. Both biking and the film are free after a $5 parking fee. Craft beer will, as always at the center, be available.
Co-produced by Teton Gravity Research and Anthill Productions, unReal is billed as a 4K biking film that was two years in production. The filmmakers promise breathtaking visuals, and feelings of awe and joy "that only those of us who venture outside can truly understand."
“unReal is for those of us who escape," Teton Gravity says in a release. "A film that celebrates breaking free from the confines of reality and venturing into a boundless world. This place isn’t remote or hard to find, and yet many never see it. Here, glacial walls transform into mountain bike trails, rain and snow aren’t the only elements to fall from the sky and thousand pound mammals become riding partners.
"This film is dedicated to you—the dreamers, the rule-breakers, the ones who never grow up, the ones who know the secret—the ones who know the way into the unReal world.”
unReal was written, directed and edited by Anthill Films and filmed in part at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park in British Columbia. The film is currently on tour across the country.
Teton Gravity Research and Anthill Productions present unReal, a 4K mountain bike film two years in the making. Get some laps in before the film, grab a beverage, and watch one of the year’s most anticipated bike films projected on our outdoor big screen on Belmont Abby Island.
