Highlands Film Fest This Week

You can still catch the Friday and Saturday lineup at the Highlands International Film Festival, now in its second year.

This year organizers added seminars and additional screenings with an emphasis on films made in North Carolina."Bringing Film to a Higher Elevation" is the festival's theme. It refers to Highland's altitude – 3,838 feet – but also founder Sue Gail's intent to share her interest in independent filmmaking with the rest of town.
